Your WoW Characters
Easiest way: the Connect tool searches every drive on its own -- nothing to click through by hand.
Run it, then use the "Connect My
Characters" shortcut it adds to your Desktop/Start Menu -- it checks every drive automatically.
(Already installed? The shortcut's already there, nothing new to download.) First time only, also
grab your personal config.ini from "Link Your HUD" below and drop it in the same folder, so it
knows which Discord account to connect -- the downloaded config.ini already has that baked in,
nothing to type. On Mac/Linux, download
just the script and run python3
connect_characters.py in a terminal instead.
Or connect right here, no download
Click below and pick any folder with your WoW install somewhere inside it (your browser can't search drives on its own, so you have to point it somewhere -- doesn't have to be exact, we search from there). If it's not found, click again and try a different drive.
Not finding it? Pick a different folderYour Character & Professions
Set once, not re-picked every time you schedule a day -- your main's class, raid role, and professions (used to pair gatherers with crafters, e.g. a Skinner with a Leatherworker).
My Launch Groups
If a raid leader has put you in a launch-week group, it shows up here -- who else is in it (their in-game name, not just Discord) and the time you all agreed to meet. This is the whole notification -- nobody has to message you separately.
Link Your HUD
"Connect My Characters" above is a one-time snapshot. For the live HUD -- quest tracking, position, loot -- install the Atlas Companion so it keeps syncing while you play: download your personal config.ini and drop it into your Companion folder (replacing the one that's there). Your Discord ID is already baked in. Nothing to type.
Already customized your
wow_path in config.ini? Just paste this ID into the discord_id line instead:
