Features

Install (do these in order, every time you update too)

  1. Click Download installer below and run it. Windows will likely say “Windows protected your PC” since it isn’t code-signed — click More info, then Run anyway.
  2. Finish the install wizard (default options are fine).
  3. Launch WoW Forever. At the character select screen, click AddOns (bottom left) and make sure AtlasTracker is checked. This is the #1 cause of "nothing works" — the game unchecks new/updated addons sometimes, especially right after a patch.
  4. Start the separate Atlas Companion program from your Start Menu (search "Atlas Companion"). This is a different program from the addon — the addon alone never uploads your data, only the Companion does. Leave it running in the background while you play.
  5. Log into your character. You should see a chat message from Atlas confirming it loaded. If it instead says the addon is incompatible, you're on an older installer than the current WoW Forever patch — redownload the latest version here.
  6. Optional but recommended: type /atlassettings in-game to open the settings panel and set your own heal spell, or /atlasvoice heal <your spell> if you use the heal-frames module.

Release notes (older builds)

WoW add-on (official, sanctioned APIs — nothing that risks your account) plus a small local program that feeds our shared map, quest, and boss-ability database as you play. Includes a compass arrow that guides you to any place, NPC or mob — type /goto how do i get to Razor Hill — /find to get alerted when you get near something, and /awpsave to add spots the whole guild can use. Herbs and ore you gather are recorded automatically, and the classic herb and ore spawn points are built in. New in v2.0: an in-game settings panel (/atlassettings), /atlasitems to list everything in your bags, and passive background capture of trainer recipes, merchant inventory, and mob abilities to build out our shared database — plus an early, experimental heal-frames module that's still being tested, so expect rough edges there specifically.
