RUINS OF LORDAERON (ROL): a new Forever dungeon for levels 15 to 20, in the Undercity area (entrance just inside the front gate, up the stairs on the left). Six bosses and about 10 quests, 6 of them for Horde. Our testers have run it many times: 30 to 35 minutes the easy way, under 20 minutes once the quest pathing is known.
QUESTS AND OBSERVED XP (Horde)
- Light's Justice (Morbin Lightbane, Undercity): bring 25 Intact Limbs from the dungeon's undead. Observed XP 4,600.
- The New Plague (Theodore Griffs, Undercity Apothecarium): bring a Highly Toxic Strain, dropped by Witherfang. Observed XP 5,450.
- The Wrath of Rath'mael (Deathguard Kristof, Tirisfal Glades): kill the final boss. Observed XP 4,600.
- A Frightened Request (Tabetha Heartweaver, Silverpine Forest): after Rath'mael, approach Edward's body near the western graves. Observed XP 4,600.
- Unending Torment: starts from the Abominable Head dropped by The Baron. Deliver it to Master Apothecary Faranell in Undercity, gather Blisterweed, Toxic Skullcap and Essence of Agony, then use the Hissing Serum on Othmar's body. A multi-step chain; observed XP per step 1,650 up to 3,450.
- Crest of Lordaeron: find the Crest in one of five dungeon locations and deliver it to Oran Snakewrithe in the Undercity Magic Quarter. Observed XP 5,450.
That is well over 25,000 quest XP, which is why every serious route runs it.
WHERE TO PICK THEM UP (our route)
One quest outside, to the left of the Undercity entrance. The rest inside the Undercity, with the flight point. The last quest in Silverpine Forest (also the flight point), unless a guild member shared it. Four quests are picked up outside the dungeon and two are completed inside. Have one party member carry all the quests and share.
BOSSES (in order, from public guides; confirm in game)
1. Witherfang: patrols with Broodlings (kill them first). Poisons the tank. She does not social-aggro with her patrol, so she can be pulled alone at range.
2. The Baron: guards a hole in the wall. Frontal cone, a knockback stun, and an AoE on everything in melee range. Tank with your back to a wall, keep melee behind him, spread the ranged. Hunters and Warlocks may want to unsummon pets before jumping the wall behind him.
3. Viktor the Vile (gauntlet): summoned by activating the fireplace in the burned house. Five waves of adds first, and they drain resources, so start with full mana.
4. The Abandoned (gauntlet): started by the glowing-eyed statue in the courtyard past the graveyard. Three waves of adds first. Undispellable Frost Armor, Frost Nova, and Drain Life on the tank (interruptible).
5. Bjork: patrols the northwest once the area is clear. Anti-Magic Shield blocks spells, so use physical damage or wait it out.
6. Rath'mael (final): in the fenced graveyard section. Flamestrike on the tank, so keep ranged and melee away from the tank during the cast and interrupt it if you can.
Rare: Lordaeron Captain on the western side (hostile to Horde).
TRASH TIPS
Cure Ghoul Plague right away. Skeletal Mages put Frost Armor on themselves, and dispelling it makes them die faster. Stone Watchers turn to stone and are immune to physical damage, so use magic. Wailing Banshees curse to reduce hit chance.
